Pennsylvania Society for Health Facility Engineering to Reduce Energy Usage with Support from the West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund

February 14, 2017

The Pennsylvania Society for Health Facility Engineering (PSHFE) received a $14,750 grant from the West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund (WPPSEF) to assess and improve the current energy efficiency of 12 member hospitals, with a goal of reducing energy usage by 10% over the next two years. The program will enroll 12 PSHFE member hospitals into the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) Energy to Care program.  Each participating hospital will receive energy benchmarking and a site assessment, as well as a field report identifying lowest-cost, highest-return energy-saving measures.
