Solar

Solar energy is clean, abundant, widespread, and renewable.  A variety of technologies have been developed to harness solar energy.  In Pennsylvania, these technologies include: Photovoltaic systems (produces electricity), solar hot water heating, and passive solar heating and daylighting.

Solar Energy Technologies Program The Solar Energy Technologies program, one of 11 programs within the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. We focus on developing solar energy technologies to power our world.

Million Solar Roof (MSRI). MSRI is designed to support states and local communities as they develop a strong commitment to the sustained deployment of solar energy technologies.

Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA). SEPA is a nonprofit organization whose membership consists of more than 100 electric service providers, utilities, manufacturers, government agencies, research organizations, and educational institutions from eight countries.

Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). SEIA is the national trade association of solar energy manufacturers, dealers, distributors, contractors, installers, architects, consultants, and marketers. We work to expand the use of solar technologies in the global marketplace.

Solar Power Industries. Solar Power Industries provides solutions for your solar power needs -from our standard product lines of individual solar cells, modules, and systems - to custom designs meeting your specifications.

National Renewable Energy Laboratory's (NREL) Solar Research Program. NREL is working with the Department of Energy to accelerate the development of solar technologies as energy sources for the nation and world. We also educate the public about the value of solar as a secure, reliable, and clean energy choice.
