Kane Historic Preservation Society Gets Energy Audit with Grant Support from WPPSEF

The Kane Historic Preservation Society (KHPS), oversees the operation of the Kane Depot and the Kane Memorial Chapel, received $14,000 to fund an ASHRAE Leve1 energy audit at the Kane Depot on One South Fraley and the Kane Memorial Chapel on 30 Chestnut Street in Kane, PA. KHPS shares and preserves Kane’s artifacts, legends, and buildings. The Kane Memorial Chapel is utilized for community events and displays historic images, including General Kane’s statue. The Kane Depot is the historic train depot turned into a repository of artifacts and a gift shop. Improving energy efficiency will reduce the cost of preserving these historic buildings and ensuring irreplaceable artifacts are safely preserved.
