Newly Established Pennsylvania Solar Center Receives Grant from WPPSEF

The Pennsylvania Solar Center (PSC), a new project of The New Sun Rising, received a $25,000 grant from West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund (WPPSEF) to assist with start-up activities and to provide an initial round of technical assistance to help tax-exempt organizations go solar.

The Pennsylvania Solar Center will offer online resources for anyone considering going solar as well as technical assistance specifically to non-profit organizations. The Center will usher non-profits through the whole solar procurement process until the solar switch is turned on, including identifying a qualified solar installer and linking them to innovative strategies for financing.
