RE Farm Café owners, Duke and Monica Gastiger, explore regenerative thinking to shift from sustainable to transformative.

It all grew out of almost 50 years in the restaurant business and the idea to not just be sustainable but transformative. A restaurant concept that would be a teaching environment not only for restaurateurs but for the entire community. A working lab for the public, farmers, and students, while offering a unique dining experience.

Designed to Living Building Challenge (LBC) standards and believed to be the first LBC designed full-service restaurant built by the private sector. Nestled on 57 acres of farmland in State College. RE Farm Café at Windswept, a remarkable reinvention.
