Energy Workshop and Tour

Geisinger is a leader. The Geisinger Healthcare System demonstrates Power & Foresight in the way it produces and manages its energy. For its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability. For its advocacy on why clean energy is important to our health. On June 2, Power & Foresight will hold its inaugural event in Danville, Pennsylvania. This event is being organized by the West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund in collaboration with Alan Neuner who serves as VP Facilities for the Geisinger Health Care System.

You Will Learn & See 

The workshop will be held at The Pine Barn Inn, which is located immediately adjacent to the Geisinger Medical Center. Learn how Geisinger has been able to lower its energy costs and carbon footprint while increasing their campus size 45%. The campus is committed to LEED, has scored an ENERGY STAR rating of 100 (that's perfect!), has significant thermal storage capabilities, green roof, solar PV, and natural gas CHP. Learn how this is being implemented throughout the Geisinger Health System which serves more than 2.6 million residents throughout 44 counties in central and northeast Pennsylvania. Speak to, and learn from, the experts who are achieving these results.After the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to see a behind the scenes tour of Geisinger's energy systems.
